How I work

My work is focused on child psychology, parenting, and supporting families through this period — the early years, so intense and full of questions. I believe much of the anguish parents feel comes less from "doing it wrong" and more from the lack of a space to think out loud, and together, about what they are going through.

Training and experience

I hold a degree in Psychology from the Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES), with more than ten years of practice, begun in Brazil, where I developed my clinical work with adults, parents, and children. My training is shaped by D. W. Winnicott's theory of emotional development, an author I studied in depth during my postgraduate studies at the Brazilian Institute of Winnicottian Psychoanalysis in São Paulo (IBPW-SP).

To me, Winnicott has a rare quality: he speaks about profound aspects of human development using language that any parent can recognize in their own experience. That bridge between theory and life is what I value bringing into my work.

I am co-author of the book "O brincar heurístico" ("Heuristic Play"), the result of research carried out together at an early-childhood school where I worked as an educator, focused on paying close attention to children's play and how it reveals a child's thinking and development.

Bachelor's degree in Psychology recognized by the Ministère de la Recherche et de l'Enseignement supérieur.

"The human being is a sample-in-time of human nature. The whole person is physical if seen from one angle, or psychological, if seen from another."

Sessions

I see clients in person in Esch-sur-Alzette and also online, for families who prefer the flexibility of remote care.

I currently see clients in Portuguese. I also speak German and English, and I'm studying French — my goal is to soon be able to support individuals and families in those languages as well.
